Fundraisers

Be an advocate for the children by holding your own fundraising event and donate the proceeds to Lakota Friends Circle. Not only do you raise money for needed items in the areas we serve but the event will help to get our name out there and also teach them about the plight of the Native Americans and their needs.

Here are some ideas.

Ask for donations for your birthday, anniversary, wedding, an evening with friends, or in memory of a loved one instead of gifts.

Hold a garage sale and give some of your proceeds to support the kids

Hold a party in November celebrating Native American month

Save lose change in a bottle for a certain period of time.

Get a school, community group or church involved in helping children on the Indian Reservation- a book drive, toy drive, a hotel toiletry drive etc while educating the children about the kids on the Rez

Hold a sewing, knitting ,crocheting event to make items for the kids. Winter is a time when we worry about our Rez friends due to their housing situation and their income level. Warm items are a big need.

Hold a winter blanket drive.

Make a quilt and auction it off.

Hold a baby shower in your community and ask friends to bring new or used baby items in good condition for the babies on the Rez

Hold a book drive to get books into the hands of kids and to build libraries in organizations we serve and in family homes.

We are certain that you have ideas too . We will provide you with information about our organization that you can give to donors.

Thank you .
